I'm getting involved with Facebook now. Since screencast is one of the most important part of my job. I should share, or just tell something about screencast, of course, plus Facebook.
This guide tells you how to create a screen recording video and add it on Facebook. Since screencast becomes another upsurge in social media networking, it is a must known thing that every Facebook user should master.
What you need
A Facebook and a YouTube account
Desktop recorder
How you make it
1. Run screen recorder and create a screencast. It can be a website introductional presentation, a software tutorial or just a funny demo makes people laugh.
2. When you finish recording, click Publish – YouTube and save your screencast video as YouTube video. You can choose the proper output format from Widescreen (16:9) or Normal screen (4:3). There are also many other video file that you can choose like AVI, WMV, FLV, etc.
3. Open YouTube, login and click Upload video. It will take some time depending on the video length and file size.
4. When you finish upload, go to the video page. Click Share botton at the right bottom of video then choose Facebook. It will automatically open a new page linked to your Facebook wall. Click Share and you find the video on your Facebook wall.
5. To share any YouTube video on Facebook, you can also copy the video address (URL) of the video.Login to Facebook and go to your Facebook Wall. Click the Link icon the paste the YouTube video URL into the text box. Click Attach and the video is now embedded on yours Facebook.
6. If you want to record a short video directly on Facebook, click the Video icon so you can record one realtime with Webcam.
PS: The video sharing option is also available to many other streaming video sites like MetaCafe, AOL Videos, etc.
